Whats in my Holiday Cosmetics Bag

As some of you may know I'm currently in Tenerife, which is the reason for me not posting so often as I would like. However, it is nice to have a little break so I'm not sorry for that!
That being said this evening I do have a YouTube video and a post for you! Being a beauty blogger of course the majority of my suitcase was taken up by my cosmetics bag, so why not show you all what I decided to take a long with me. If you're like me and super nosey these are my favourite type of videos and posts to read or watch, as I love to see what other girls use or how they decorate their rooms!
I hope you enjoy the video, don't forget to subscribe and leave in the post comments for this blog post any blog post suggestions you may like to see, possibly a make-up collection...

Let's go to the beach!

I have been on the hunt for the perfect nude summer polish for the longest time and finally I have found one that fits my criteria. Mademoiselle is a pinky nude, more so nude than pink. The pink complexions compliment tans so well, yet still appearing mainly nude on the nails. I paint my toenails with this polish as well and it looks amazing.
You know when a polish or a scent reminds you of something or a memory, mademoiselle reminds me of the beach and sea shells. Most likely the reason why it is such a striking shade for summer.
I plan to wear this everyday throughout summer; I never want to take it off my nails it has become a bit of an addiction.
I will admit it takes quite a few coats to build up and really by noticeable on the nails, and by a few I mean like four… It also takes ages to drive but for the shade it is so worth it!

What is your perfect summer polish? I’d love to know in the comments!

Take care and cover up

As readers I generally care about you all, when you leave me lovely comments, support me and read my content alone. Now I’m sure most of you click on my blog link to read my beauty posts, as of course that is my main focus point. Today I want to discuss sun tan lotion, sounds boring right? Well it is a beauty product that may one day save your life!

So lets start with SPF, what is it and why is it so important? SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and is an indication of the amount of protection a product provides against UVB light. An SPF of 15 will filter out approximately 93% of UVB rays and an SPF of 30 will filter out around 96%. An SPF of 15 is seen as the recommended minimum by most health experts. While you’re reading this I am currently in Tenerife, soaking up the sun but doing it safely! I’m taking Hawaiian Tropic’s silk hydration, just so it does a two in one job! With its ultra-luxurious hydrating silk ribbons, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration™ lotion sunscreen nourishes and pampers skin while providing broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, and 12-hour moisturization when out in the sun. (Kim Kardashian even wears it!)

So I suppose guys this was just a little post to remind you that sometimes the boring beauty bits are the most important! Have a lovely summer and rub that lotion everywhere ladies! Let me know your summer plans in the comments, I'm nosey ya see!

Lorde tutorial using MAC collection!

I’m a fan of Lorde for so many reasons, her music, success and her confidence. In quite a few interviews she has spoken about her acne, not hidden it and expressed how natural it is and how women shouldn’t hide their insecurities. Finally an artist who isn’t obsessed with how she looks rather than her music!
Enough rambling I’m sure you’re here for the good stuff, her make-up. So simple but so eye catching at the same time. She keeps her face natural, the slightest contoured cheekbones, and often no blush with the odd bit of highlighting. Then ads an amp of rebellious character through her Amy Winehouse styled eyeliner and bright purple lip.
If you’re new to make-up or want to practice doing eyeliner then Lordes look is perfect for you! I filmed a YouTube tutorial of how to get her look over on my channel, (Clickable link here). Hope you enjoy!

What celebrity inspires your make-up look? I’d love to know!

Is it to late for breakfast?

Never have I ever been bothered to use a body scrub, the idea of one just seemed to much effort and not really worth my time (we’re talking about like 2 minutes extra in the shower here).  I just always pictured them to be messy and too harsh on my skin.
Well I’m clearly an idiot… I really regret all the years of my life where I have been without a body scrub. I decided to pick one up when I was in Boots a couple of weeks ago and The Breakfast Scrub by Soap and Glory really caught my well, smelling senses. I love sweet scents so a breakfast, honey and oats smelling scrub really appealed to me.

I simply use this at the end of my shower after shaving and washing, just to extra exfoliate my skin. It leaves my skin feeling ultra soft and I may add, as smooth as a babies bottom! My favourite time to use the scrub is in my shower just before I fake tan my legs, as I only really fake tan my legs… don’t ask! Fake tan goes on perfectly after as it gets rid of all dry patches and clears up all dry skin.

Do you guys have any good body products you could recommend to me? Dying to try out some new ones!

Keep those badgers alive!

Lush is the only place on earth that if I got to the till and my basket came to over £100 I literally would not care. For those of you who don't know Lush is one of the most amazing brands out there, not just for their products but for what they do for animal charities! All Lush products are of course vegan, can we all just sit and clap at this point please... Aren't tested on animals, handmade and smell damn good!
In May Lush came out with the Badger bath bomb, I'm only reviewing it now because I rarely have baths and only do when I'm in the mood and tonight I was dying for one. But it may be late but I just had to spread even more word about Lush.
Just how adorable is this bath bomb? Can we just... Look at his little face! I felt cruel putting him in the bath, just how ironic is that? But all the money went to save badgers so I suppose it was okay to let this little guy do his job!
My skin is now so soft and smooth and I feel like I have done a little good deed as well, what a bonus!

Go check out Lush if you haven't already, treat yourself and save some little animals, makes it all the more worthwhile!

A face full of joy

One of my favourite things to do in the evenings is apply a face-mask, while running a nice bath with a floating Lush bath bomb bumping into the sides of the bath tub. To me there is nothing more relaxing than pampering yourself, whether it is doing your nails or going shopping. Just taking half an hour out of my day every day to pamper myself in some form makes my mood lift dramatically!
So yesterday I had a craving to do a face-mask and recently my skin has been quite dry. TMI but I have had quite a few spots healing and they were at that stage where they go all disgusting and crusty. Therefore, a dry skin face-mask was most needed!
The mask claims to hold in moisture to tend to dry skin, and that it did! It cleared up all the dryness. Leaving my skin feeling so fresh and smooth, I would even go as far to say the cliche term 'as smooth as a babies bottom'.
I can't wait to go and repurchase this face-mask and do it all over again! Do you have any suggestions for face-masks? I think its about time I ventured out and tried something new.
