A snippet into my week!

This week has literally been crazy busy, I haven't even had 5 minutes to myself. Even now I should be revising or at least have the text book open.
Last Thursday I had to go into London to have a passport interview, which yes it is a new thing they have brought in and I simply had to have an interview to prove that I was who I said I was (it was my first ever passport). I went along with my mum so we made a day out of it since we were in London any ways!
Before the interview we had a lovely lunch at Nandos, which if you have never been to Nandos go after reading this post...
After the interview we popped into a few shops for mere window shopping which of course turned into me leaving with a couple of bags. We popped into a small Space NK which had a Nars stand which was tempting me so much but I was good and didn't purchase a single thing!
On our way back to the station we came across a Krispy Kreme shop and well... I'll let the photos do the talking!

Also this week I saw Captain America 2 and The Amazing Spiderman 2 in cinema, bit of a Marvel geek much? I must say both were amazing and hit my expectations but Spiderman just topped it. I don't want to give any spoilers but I cried a lot during Spiderman, which led to Zack taking the mick out of me!

I plan to buy a good vlogging camera so I can always have good quality images and to start doing like vlogging on YouTube which I think would be fun!

Talking of Youtube check out my new Empties video and please subscribe and like.

ARK WISHLIST | THE TRENDS

So I have a lot to talk about, so I'm just going to get stuck right in. I am currently loving the trends in the fashion world right now, especially gingham, 90's and of course those adorable little peter pan collared dresses! Browsing the web, sometimes shopping at the same old Topshop on my lunch break can get a bit dull so I headed over to www.ark.co.uk and clicked straight on trends. Of course first of I scrolled through their gingham selection. Just how cute are these pieces I picked? As you can see I am loving monochrome trend as they all lack colour, but what's better than mixing the trends right? All the pieces are super affordable and are such good quality. When looking online I always check materials as otherwise you end up with some thing in the post that will either make you itch all day or stick to you. My favourite out of these three is the leggings, they remind me of the Topshop jeans which are like triple the price. So if you were looking for a cheaper option, you can thank me now!
The 90's trend, I'm lost for words. I am a huge lover of the film This is England and the style of those times! Doc Martins, Graphic patterns and acid wash. I find it so inspiring and think it suits my style 100%. My favourite piece from Ark is the moon dress shown in the first picture, I can just imagine styling this with docs or chunky black boots and a long cream cardigan. I am so purchasing the sunflower dress for my holiday when I go to Tenerife. I just think it is the perfect holiday dress for that evening stroll along the beach or wandering around the town and lastly, girls can we appreciate this dress? Want something sexy without revealing too much skin? Then this dress is just perfect.
Collared dress just remind me of the good old days of primary school. With frilly socks and a scrunchie it is the perfect mix of the 90's trend and the collared dress. Ark had so many choices of colour and style I was lost for choice. At sixth form I have to dress smart as that is the dress code so these are perfect for the warmer months. The black one I especially love because I could also wear that to work!

Check out Ark if you are looking to spice up your wardrobe for summer, I promise it won't break the bank!

Bourjois Paris Bronzer Review + MAC GIVEAWAY

Recently I have been purchasing bronzers like no tomorrow. Due to summer coming up bronzer is the best place to start with getting that bronzed glow.
I think every single drugstore video on YouTube I have ever watched this bronzer has been mentioned! So I wanted to see for myself and for my readers whether this bronzer has really got it going on...
Well to start with the chocolate theme is just so cute and I can honestly say the bronzer itself smells like a diary milk chocolate bar, what could be more perfect?
I used the bronzer to contour and it did so ever so perfectly. I think this is down to the shade being such a perfect shade for me, not to dark and not to light! It lasted well during the day and not to mention it is super cheap as well!

Spring is the last time I really have baths before Winter starts again in November (of course I shower everyday but I don't like sitting in hot baths in the summer). So when Lush brings out its Spring range I really take advantage! Especially as it's so cute!
The first item I have used from the range this year is the Bunny Bubble Bath, inspired by the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. 'This little fellow is full of rich oils and butters to leave your skin soft and conditioned. Sharing the same fragrance as the Creamy Candy bubble bar, this limited edition Bunny is as wonderful on the inside as he looks on the outside, filled with skin softening Shea butter and coconut oil, with little candy eyes and tail'. The description of this product on the Lush website.
I highly agree with this description, after stepping out the bath my skin felt ever so smooth and soft and honestly it felt conditioned. The scents lingered all day and it made a decent amount of bubbles which is always good.
My only downside to this bubble bar is the blue cornflowers that are filled inside the bubble bar, which float around the water and stick to you. I found it personally annoying rather than comforting, as described on the website.

Let me know if you have any lush recommendations, always willing to try out new products!

Easter Nails - House of Holland

Can I just eat chocolate now? But with that in mind I have no idea how I am going to crack open my chocolate eggs in these nails! The other day I ventured into Boots dragging poor Zack along to find some Easter related beauty products to review. Along with a few other bits chucked into my basket as yano you can't just buy one thing in Boots, I picked up these cute little spring animal like nails.
I liked how unique they looked and wanted to try out a claw shaped nail as I have always just stuck with the plain old square or rounded nail. It was weird at first and took some getting used to, but I really took to loving the shape.
As for the print of the nails how adorable are they? I must admit the squirrel is my favourite!
They lasted a week which I thought for nails that stuck out so much was pretty decent, the glue was super strong and once they were applied I could not take them off what so ever!
I would really recommend these nails if you are looking for some cheap, cheerful nails for a few days but don't want to pay £25 for the job.

Chit Chat and update #01

I've never been quite sure how much to share with you on my blog. As a beauty/lifestyle blog I never know whether the majority of you prefer beauty posts or lifestyle type posts, but I do want to do more lifestyle posts on here.
Recently to be honest I have been extremely down and nor had the time or energy to write. A level exams coming up and just general life in its self gets in the way. Over half term I have had a bit of a break from its fair to say, everything. Just spent time with friends and family as cliché as it sounds, rediscovering what is truly important and worth my time.
Although I have not been completely gone from my blog, I have posts planned as far as up to September. Photos of all products taken and 4 YouTube videos filmed and ready to be uploaded.
So I wanted to apologize to my readers for my absence. Life just got in the way.
However on the bright side and no matter what, there is always a bright side! Tenerife gets nearer day by day and just summer itself! I am so excited for this summer, it helps having so much planned!
Currently I am sat in my room with a facemask on with my friend, my face feels like a rock while hers looks... well her quote was 'I look like I'm dripping with grease'.

How do you stay on top of your blog when all you feel like doing is curling up in bed and forgetting everything? I'd love some tips so absence doesn't happen again!

I hope you're having a lovely day.

PS: I am 11 followers away from 100 followers on Bloglovin, which means 11 followers away from my MAC giveaway! Please follow my blog on bloglovin (click here) it would really make my day!

Lush Golden Egg bath Bomb

"Fresh, handmade and better than chocolate,"
It's finally April therefore it is now acceptable to drown myself in chocolate and have baths filled with lush Easter bath bombs! I do love April, the weather gets warmer, days get longer and by the end of it I'm left with a load of free chocolate.
In Lush I must have stood there staring at this bath bomb for a good 10 minutes. The glitter really put me of at first, I just kept thinking of myself coming out the bath glistening like Edward Cullen. The customer assistant was ever so lovely and assured me I would not resemble Edward Cullen so the purchase was made.
Let me start by telling you about the sumptuous honey-toffee fragrance! I love anything sweet scented so this was an instant win for me. But it is not too strong and in your face, only if like me you pretty much try and stuff it up your nose.
It dissolved so quickly in my bath (placed under the pouring tap) and I pretty much just threw the whole bath bomb in the bath. It took under 3 minutes to dissolve, which for a Lush bath bomb is quick!
It left my skin feeling smooth and soft and gave of a decent amount of bubbles without drowning me. The glitter was hardly noticeable, just a slight shimmer in the water but none appeared to be on my when I got out.
So if you are cautiously eyeing this up, get it!

I went shopping... and started Youtube!

So pay day came and I stupidly just thought, 'I'll have a look online at what is in stores at the moment'. Yupp, this happened.
First off from John Lewis I picked up a sunglasses case, how fricking cute is it? I thought it was perfect for when I go on holiday to Tenerife in July! So of course I had to pick up the matching tissues. Were they needed? er maybe. I also nabbed up the gimme brow by Benefit, which a review will be up soon for.
Now these Topshop bits I actually picked up in store. I have recurred quite the friendship with the staff on my breaks at work and now they always give me 10%, which is pretty dandy. So I picked up some sunglasses which are exactly like the Ray-bans that I wanted but just a bit cheaper! Some cute hair ties, my little pony nightwear in the sale for £15! Some jewellery and finally a pair of MOM jeans.
I haven't treated myself to something new from Mac in ages so I thought why not treat myself and place a order. I picked up three things I have been lusting over for literally ages. I picked up the mineralize skin finish powder, Viva Glams Rihanna's lipstick in the ever so famous Ruby Woo and the lipstick Creme cup!
If you are a lover of Boots you may know about the advantage card, basically a loyalty card. Through the post I got a leaflet with a load of vouchers the best one being 'spend £30 and get £4 worth of points on your card'. So naturally I just had to go online and spend over £30. (all products above will be up for reviews soon) let me know in the comments any you especially want to know about!
Asos is either a win or a complete lose. I couldn't really find anything I wanted or even liked except these two pieces. I picked up a smock dress covered in little detailed lion heads, which I just simply couldn't not add to basket and a wishbone necklace which I thought was just really sweet.
I am now currently in exam season, so decided to spice up my revision with some new stationary from Paperchase. Just look how adorable this stuff is?

Want to see all this in a video? and actually hear my voice and see my face?  Well now you can as I finally swallowed my fear of the internet and made a youtube channel and put up my first video! I am going to be super active on my channel, I have already filmed 3 other videos and have them all lined up. Gold award for organisation?
I would be over the moon if you could subscribe and leave comments.

and let me know in the comments anything you have brought in March, I'm nosey and would love to know!

Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

Eye-shadows and lipsticks are my favourite make-up pieces to buy, purely because you can be so creative with them and make so many different looks! So when I was at the Smashbox counter and saw this with about 20 others smiling back at me I had to pick it up.
The palette comes with 14 shades, 7 shimmer and 7 matte. Best of both worlds ay? The colours are gorgeous and such a good mix from light browns to black and greys.
The colour pay of is amazing and the textures are lovely however, I do tend to find after about 4 hours I find myself questioning "er where has my eyeshadow gone?". I'm not sure if they have a suckish staying power or because my eye primer isn't good enough. But for a £36 palette they should be forever and ever on my eye lids. Nether the less, they look the bomb!
Shimmer S1
Shimmer S2
Shimmer S3
Shimmer S4
Shimmer S5
Shimmer S6
Shimmer S7
The shimmer shades are gorgeous with just the right amount of shimmer, personally I don't like too much shimmer as I think it's way to much. My favourite is S4 which is a light champagne shade, I use it all over the lid and sometimes in the corner of my eyes as it really makes them pop!
M1
M2
M3
M4
M5
M6
M7
Just like the shimmer shades the matte ones have an amazing colour play off. My favourite has to be M2 which is a light brown, which looks ever so sassy in the crease!
The palette also comes with a double ended brush, which shockingly for a compact brush is really good. It has 2 ends, one for shimmer and one for matte which really helps to pack the colour on!
The palette also comes with a free tester mascara, which to be honest was a let down. The brush is so large it is literally the same size as my eye, which means it gets everywhere! It also clumped up extremely quickly.
But the cherry on top of the cake was this cute little leaflet you get which tells you all the different eye shapes and what looks you can create with the palette that will suit your eye shape best.

Have you tried this palette or are you tempted to buy it now? Let me know in the comments and any other palettes you think I should try! Have a lovely day!
