OPI Minnie Mouse Collection - Review

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you might have seen that I have featured this gorgeous set by OPI before. What’s better than OPI, Disney and a range of pink to red shades? I reviewed ‘Magazine Cover Mouse’ so if you would like to see how that shade looks on click here!
I’m a sucker for any pink shades on my nails, my favourite being baby pinks. So ‘Chic from Ears to Tails’ looked like the ultimate perfect shade for me. However, my one and only compliant for this polish is that the shade comes out so much darker when applied to the nails. It comes out as a hot pink, which is fine unless like me you wanted a baby pink to fit your mood.
Because the polishes are mini the brush is really small so it is literally perfect for my nails, owning small hands with small fingernails it made the whole process a lot easier.
The polish dry’s fairly quickly, although a good tip is a minute after you have applied any nail polish dip your fingers in cold water and it will help to freeze the polish and dry it quicker. Sounds bizarre but it works a treat!
I am writing and posting this blog post a week and a half after I first applied the polish and it is still in tack and shows barely any chips, good old OPI!

Do you have any ideas of anything you would like to see on my blog? Let me know in the comments!

Well look who it is...

I feel like I owe you guys a massive apology! I have barely posted these last two weeks because my laptop charger broke and then the Ebay seller decided to not send me my charger, that I had paid for. So I had to open up a case on Ebay and wait ages to get my money back so that I could buy another charger. Long story short, Amazon then saved my ass.
So I have been laptopless so have pretty much spent my time seeing friends, going out and then while at home pampering myself. Because you know, thats what beauty bloggers do when we are deprived of our laptops. The picture of the snowman bath bomb from Lush isn't just random. I found it at the bottom of my Lush box so decided to use it before it died and became all gross, I forgot just how soft it makes my skin and am now super excited for Christmas, in June...
I have also done countless face masks to try and tackle my bordem and painted my nails about 10 times in two weeks.
While out shopping I literally hunted high and low for my name on a coke bottle, and you're most likely wondering, er haul Soph? Yes I will have a haul up on Friday as I am going shopping then as well so might as well put it all into one.
In the last month and a bit I have gone to the cinema countless amount of times, mainly to see Marvel and Superhero films. Out of The Amazing Spiderman, Captain America 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past I must admit the new X-Men was my favourite and if you haven't seen it and like me are a bit of a geek you must go and see it!

As I haven't blogged in a while I have regained so much inspiration and ideas for my blog, it was actually quite nice having a little break! and I would love to know in the comments what you have been up to and your blog links as well!

Happy Beauty Day! By Benefit

£9.95 Boots

Queuing up in Boots the other day, with a over flowing basket filled to the brim with items I do not need. This little set caught my eye, cleverly placed by the till point I just couldn't leave it behind!
Inside it came with mini's of bad gal, porefessional and posie tint. I haven't tried bad gal and the posie tint before so mini's are always perfect to test things out, rather than spend £20 on each for the full sizes. The porefessional mini is going to be so perfect for when I go on holiday, as I don't plan to wear make-up much any ways but when I do I have a handy miniature with me.
The first thing I tested out was Posie Tint as it is such a beautiful summery shade. The formula is gloss like, leaving a glossy, moisturising finish. Which is perfect for when I am on holiday as I won't be wearing anything sticky or drying. The hot pink shade will look gorgeous with a tan. It doesn't leave my lips feeling sticky but I do have to scrub and moisturise my lips before hand as it can stick to dry skin (gross).
Bad Gal is the blackest mascara I have ever come across, along with They're Real also by Benefit. It leaves my lashes looking long however, I am still favouring They're Real. The brush on Bad Gal is far to big and leaves me with those dreaded black specs around my eyes and with clumpy lashes. So thank god I brought the mini not the full size!
I will 100% be trying to buy minis from now on instead of full sized products to do reviews with and to try out, it saves so much money and tears! My bank account will be thanking me.

I plan to post up my giveaway this week, however I really don't want to use raffle copter again because it is £8! So if anyone knows a cheap service that is similar to raffle copter please let me know! Also I haven't posted this week as my laptop charger broke, so posts will resume as everyday next week.

What's your favourite Benefit product? I would love to know in the comments!

Mean Girls Inspired Nail Polish - Topshop

Do you ever just get those young girl cravings to watch Mean Girls? paint your nails and just be as girly as you possibly can? How can you not? The other night I sat and I watched Mean Girls for possibly the 100th time and while doing so I painted my nails. Scanning my eyes across my nail polish collection I was really drawn to this polish by Topshop. It's called 'Wish you were here' which, just how cute is that? Wish you were here is a pastel, baby pink with white specs that really give a unique yet really pretty finish on the nails. The effect reminds me of cake pops which some how reminded me of Mean Girls... I think its because of just how cute and girly they look.
I love the Topshop nail vanish packaging. I have a shelf in my room where you can see all my polishes, so I always put Topshop ones at the front because they do have such a funky packaging. Topshop nail polishes last literally ages as well without chipping, I have had wish you were here on for a week now and I do not have one single chip! How fetch is that?

What is your favourite nail polish brand? I would love to know in the comments! Leave your blog links as well guys as I really fancy reading some new blogs!
While I have your attention, I would like to thank you all for 300 followers! I will have my giveaway up soon enough so keep your eyes open!

Pamper and a Chit Chat

Life lately, I don't even know where to start. It has literally been crazy and so stressful, I just can't wait for it to be legit summer holidays then I can just fully relax and do what I love most, blogging. I also can't wait to just be able to fully make time for my Youtube!
Right now I am just sitting on my bed, typing up this blog post while modelling a very sexy face mask. It literally looks like I have just rubbed a greasy orange all over my face, yes I know sexy. It is one of those ones that heat up when rubbed into your skin, which I love as it makes it feel ultra relaxing.
Today I have just been pottering about, tidying my room, organising things and general Sunday bits and bobs.
I have so much planned for this little blog, exciting work with companies to publish, series I am planning on starting and some really exciting products to review! I also have a lot of videos filmed and ready to be uploaded to my youtube such as, The Disney Tag, The 100 Questions Tag, an Empties video, a haul, prom tutorials and some other bits! So if you want to watch those videos go and subscribe to my channel as they will be up very soon! https://www.youtube.com/user/vavaviolett/

I will be giving away a box of beauty products but they are being kept a secret till I hit that milestone, I only need 2 more followers, that is crazy! A small but sweet haul + giveaway

I know you guys love a haul post, don't we all? Geez such a nosey lot. So thought I would share with you some bits and bobs I picked up today in the village town near to where I live.
The village I went to was St Albans incase you want to look it up on google, it is literally one of my favourite places to go. It's so cute and old fashioned, with the best shops! Me and my friend found the cutest little milkshake shop, which sold loads of American sweets and really unique food. I picked up a Dr Pepper lolly each for me and Zack, as Dr Pepper is one of his favourites.
We also came across the cutest little Cath Kidston shop and I had to pick up something at least so picked up these adorable little British tissues.
Pretty in pink? In Boots I picked up some bits for my Prom looks I have coming up... but we shall save that for later.
Also in Boots I treated myself to this set from Benefit which had 3 minis in it, Porefessional, Bad Gal and a Bene Tint. I came across this shower gel which smells exactly like chocolate and mint and I simply just couldn't put it back on the shelf.
St Albans is where my nearest Lush store lives so of course I popped in. Shockingly I only picked up one thing which was the badger bath bomb for may day, which the money goes to such a lovely cause! I will be doing a whole post on the bath bomb and the charity.
Lastly I picked up this little post card from Paperchase, which now lives quite happily on my ever growing notice board!

I am thinking of doing another giveaway when I hit 300 followers on Bloglovin, so follow if you don't already so I can get this giveaway up and running! http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/4583071 I would be giving away a box of beauty products, but we shall keep what the products are a surprise! Comment if you would enter!

Honey ft. Roxie

I can't believe I have not done a puppy post yet, or in fact have I even mentioned my new puppy to you guys? So meet Honey! She is now 14 weeks old and the naughtiest little devil ever, she is always up to mischief and has a right little character. I found this adorable pillow in Next homeware, how much does it look like Honey? I literally couldn't leave it behind! I also brought the matching mug...I have only really recently started posting lifestyle posts so I believe you haven't met my doggie Roxie yet either, Rox is now 7 but still as young and playful as ever! We have had her since she was only a couple of months old and she truly is as cliche as it may sound, my bestest friend.
Its great having two dogs, they play together all the time and are so funny to just sit and watch in the evening in the garden. As they get up to the craziest stuff!Incase you are wondering how I tamed the dogs to sit still...

If you want a more detailed post or youtube video on either of the dogs let me know in the comments! I would love to do a 'meet my pet' video. Also comment if you do want to see more lifestyle posts on this blog as of course it will still remain 80% beauty!
