Pretty Polishes for Valentines!

Nails are something we should be keeping up to scratch with all the time but we all know sometimes a woman just plainly, can't be assed. Special occasions for me always seem to kick me back into a nail routine, weird huh? My nails always have to match my mood or if there is an occasion at the time. So of course for Valentines I'm sharing with you some of my picks for this weekend!

On the agenda to decide from is a variety from baby pinks to hot reds, I just can't seem to make my mind up!
'Unicorn' by Topshop is a beautiful glitter polish with fragments of pink, sliver and white. Simple yet elegant, I would most likely wear this over the top of a baby pink.
'Wish you were here' by Topshop, I kind of want to wear this one for Valentines purely because of its name... Seems fitting really doesn't it?
'Chic from Ears to Tail' From the OPI Disney Minnie Mouse collection, my favourite nail polish ever! Such a beautiful baby pink with a slight glitter and shimmer that you can only see if you are close up.
'Magazine Cover Mouse', again from OPI Minnie Mouse collection. (If you can tell I loved that collection) A stunning classic red with red sparkle and glitter to it. The only thing putting me off this one is how hard it is to take off! Is it worth the struggle for Valentines ladies?
'Innie Minnie Mightie Bowie', you guessed it! From the OPI Minnie Mouse collection... Just your classic red, if I was wearing 'Ruby Woo' lipstick by MAC I would 110% pick this one as they match to a T but I'm thinking of just going for a nude lip.
What polish should I wear ladies? What one would you pick, help me out in the comments!

Tanya Burr's Eye Lashes Review

So many YouTubers have come out with some form of merchandise in the past year, so much that I personally haven't bothered keeping up with it all. However, there was one release that I was so excited for I didn't mind spending my own hard earned money on it and that was Tanya Burr's eyelashes!

I have adored Tanya Burr since I can remember, from when I first got interested in make-up and learning to apply it I always turned to her channel. I loved her simple videos on 'How to apply false eye-lashes', 'create a smokey eye' and so much more. So when I heard Tanya Burr was coming out with her own range of eyelashes I just knew they would be perfect because she's a woman that knows exactly what the beauty industry needs!

The industry of eye-lashes lacked some affordable lashes that were easy to apply and with a clear glue (and cute packaging). Luckily, I can now thank Tanya Burr even more for helping me through, shall we say, a make-up crisis.

Clear instructions on the back of the packaging, a lot clearer than many other packages I have read on how to apply fake eye-lashes. The lashes come with an adhesive clue, which dries clear (a god sent). The glue is amazing, the lashes stayed down all day, neatly in place. I didn't suffer from that 'Oh I'm your fake lash and I'm going to annoy you by not sticking down properly in just one place', the struggle ladies!

The names of the lashes are super cute, admittedly I purchased the pair 'Bambi' just because of its name but... luckily I like them!
Date night are stunning on the eyes, if you want a 'I'm pretending I'm Beyonce and I feel flawless' make-up look these are beyond perfect. I'm contemplating wearing these bad boys for Valentines night, what do you think?
Bambi eyes are separated beautifully, opening up the eyes and give the illusion of bigger eyes. On the eyes I hadn't cut them down what so ever as I wanted to show you exactly what they look like, but I will cut a tiny bit off them as they are a tiny bit too big for my eye.
Everyday flutter are exactly what you would think they would be, great for those everyday eye-lash wearers. I do however think you have to wear quite a light mascara with these ones as anything clumpy will end up looking uneven and 'fake'.

For £5.49 I will be purchasing more, I do hope Tanya brings out more and brings out an every day lash to be worn to simply fill in your lashes.

You can purchase them from Superdrug or Feel Unique!

What are your thoughts on Tanya Burr eyelashes? Have you tried them?

Valentines Day...

I suppose in a sense you could say Valentines has become quite controversial, you either love it or hate it, rather like good old Miley Cyrus. Personally my feelings towards the day are as mixed up as a bowl of cookie dough.

The meaning behind it is sweet, a day spent with your loved one, creating memories, proving your care and love. Which I do think is a nice idea, I find because me and Zack are so busy with sixth-form, working part-time and other responsibilities we rarely put aside time to see one another to do something like, a day out, cinema or even something nice and simple like going for a meal! Valentines to us is an occasion where we plan something nice and put aside the time to do it, as fairly there just isn’t always the time for it.

The single mingles, I’ve been single for one Valentines in my little teenage life and personally, I quite enjoyed it, mainly because I made something of it. As the iconic Domino’s and Ben and Jerry’s turned up me and my friends dug in, and that, that is how Valentines should be spent if you’re single! (With of course The Notebook playing in the background as you gossip about the at most random of subjects).

Now, my feelings towards Valentines are mixed up because of the expectations Valentines brings. In the films the boyfriend/husband shows up with a bunch of roses, which would logically be worth about £70. If Zackary turned up on my door and had spent his hard earned money on flowers that are just going to die (expensive flowers) I would feel awful excepting them, I’m perfectly happy with some pink flowers from Waitrose for a fiver, if that. I think the little things on Valentines Day count, the things you should be doing in a happy relationship all year round. Making each other a morning tea, saying ‘I love you’, cuddling and all the little things in a relationship that make you both happy.

This year me and Zackary are going to see 50 Shades of Grey (my choice of course) while sneaking in some of our favourite food most like, going home to cuddle and then waking up to good old morning breath and my usual begging for him to make me a morning tea. Isn’t that what love is all about?

What's on my Desk!

As the nosey little misfit I am I can't get enough of room tours, beauty collections and desk tours. I love gathering photos for inspiration, collecting bits and pieces and putting a room or simply a desk together! I thought I would share my desk today as I know exam periods and work periods are coming up and its always nice to have a space to work and get your head down.

For my little space I opted for colour, I wanted unique personal things that just made me smile and reminded me of good memories etc.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration at least, share with me in the comments if you have any room tours, beauty collections or desk tour blog posts. I'd love to see them!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer/Highlighter Review

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer - £8.49 (Get it here)
Drugstore highlighters are one thing we lack in our little word of beauty, is it just me or does there just seem to be only good, hyped up high end highlighters? Well ladies, there is a way to contour like a Kardashion, without having to have the bank balance of a Kardashion!

L'Oreal's Lumi Magique concealer/highlighter (what a mouthful) is just as good, if not better than Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat. It creates the most beautiful highlight, drawing attention beautifully to brow bones, cheek bones and where ever you wish to draw attention to. I personally wouldn't use this product as a concealer as it does have some shimmer and glitter to its finish, which would help to draw attention to blemishes and spots. But for a highlight it is perfection, lasts all day and is super easy to blend. It doesn't look cakey on the skin, some times when I'm feeling extra sassy and want a stront contour, I apply loads and it still blends magically!

If you're after a cheap highlighter which is easy to contour with I could not recommend this bad boy any more!

Can you recommend any cheap products to contour and highlight with? Need to try more out!

My MAC Lipstick Collection!

From left to right, Japanese Maple, Creme d' Nude, Shy Girl, Velvet Teddy, Creme Cup, Pervette, Candy Yum-Yum, Cockney, Pure Heroine, Hang Up.
One of my favourite posts to read is MAC lipstick collections, purely because I love discovering new ones to add to my ever growing wish list... So I thought I would share my little collection with you guys!
Japanese Maple
Japanese Maple as you probably can tell is my favourite of the bunch! I've literally nearly worn it to death, it looks amazing with a smokey eye and a contoured face. Its a pinky nude in the flesh, with just the right amount of shimmer and shine to its finished look. It doesn't last particularly long while eating/drinking but the shade is enough for it to be a favourite of mine!
Creme D Nude
The most recent addition to my collection, similar to Japanese Maple but without the pink tones. Creme D Nude is the perfect nude!
Shy Girl
Shy Girl is a peachy nude with undertones of orange, admittedly I ordered this one online and it looks completely different in person. But I suppose it would come in use some time!
Velvet Teddy
Velvet Teddy is a beautiful browny nude, famously known for the lipstick Kylie Jenner uses to create her over drawn lips. I love this lipstick paired by Soar by MAC.
Creme Cup
Creme Cup has to be my favourite pink lipstick I own, super easy to pair with any make-up look and looks so pretty and sweet on the lips.
Candy Yum-Yum
A shade I wish I was brave enough to wear more often, but when I do it looks the bomb.
Pure Heroine
Pure Heroine was from the Lorde collection last year, I've only worn it once but it looks crazy good on the lips! Just need to pull the confidence out the bag to wear it more often!
Hang Up
I haven't worn Hang Up in so long, I'd kind of forgot about it till I pulled out all my MAC lipsticks to do this post. I used to wear this shade all the time, such a beautiful purply red.
Cockney was the lipstick I wore to my prom two years ago and I haven't worn it since as its become quite sentimental. Such a stunning red by MAC that is overlooked!
Ruby Woo
I think every MAC lipstick lover has Ruby Woo, such a staple. A blue under-toned red, I really find this helps to give the illusion of whiter teeth.

What is your favourite MAC lipstick? are there any staples I am missing from my collection?
