Why I love make-up?

When you think about it, make-up is the oddest and utterly weirdest concept. We get our skin colour, smudge it all up and into our faces, get colours and splatter them on our eyes and we draw on our lips? AND we spend hundreds, upon hundreds of pounds and dollars on it a year.

I literally ‘put on my face’ in the mornings, just like it’s some sort of quickie mask.

I think girls struggle a lot with the question, ‘Why do you wear make-up?’ For some of us pampered pooches it can be for a personal issue, self-confidence, acne and anything you may want to cover up. Others use it just to highlight their features and for the ladies like me, simply because you just f***ing enjoy it, okay?

So many people find it strange that I just simply enjoy applying make-up, testing out new products, seeing how different they can make me look. For me it’s just like when you dye your hair, you get bored. So from Monday to having a nude lip then to Friday having a bright hot pink, I just get bored of always looking the same so I use make-up to spice up my face.

It brings a weird excitement, especially trying out a new foundation! Who’s with me? Or under eye concealer, oo that gets my heart beat up.

I do not wear make-up for boys, oh heck no. I have the same confidence around Zack as I do when I have a full face of glam on, even though we’ve been together ages now, right from the start I rocked it around him bare faced. Because make-up isn’t natural at the end of the day, its not you, you may incorporate it into your life daily but it will never be ‘you’. I may have really dark acne scaring and the occasional sexy pimple but it really doesn’t bother me too much, of course if I could remove my acne scaring I would but for now, foundation spices me up when I feel like it.

I love make-up for the experimentation and the thrill of trying out something new, I love it to help show off my good features, such as nude eyeliner to make my big brown eyes pop. But I will never just use it to hide away underneath a comfort blanket, because once you’re wrapped up all comfy in that blanket, girl it’s hard to get out!

I want to know why you love and wear make-up, give some tips in the comments for the girls who may be insecure and if you want me to do a post on how to fight insecurities just let me know!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Review

The Naked Palette can back off; this is where Urban Decay has really got it going on! Shock horror, I’m about to make a pretty big statement on this little corner of the web, I found something better than the Collection concealer. Sadly, it about £15 more expensive BUT is it worth biting the bullet?

So put your hand up if you’re the same but I suffer with quite dark acne scars (damn you teenage self for scratching of your spots with your overly long nails that you thought were cute but weren’t) and I find it quite hard to cover them.

Until, I bit the bullet and brought a rather expensive concealer which I think may have me bank rupt every single month…

Urban Decays Naked Skin concealer is dream that honestly covers up my dark spots. The ‘selfie’ of me is unedited compared to the edited one in my side bar to your right. In a normal unedited selfie you can still see my dark spots even while wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear, while wearing the naked skin concealer I can get away with not editing out my dark spots on Photoshop, which is a priority of course.

It lasts all day, nothing crazy but lasts well enough to get me through the day. I do use Porefessional by Benefit to prime and I also use powder, so bare that in mind! The colour match is perfect (and I ordered it online and guessed, so who’s a magician?)

What kind of concealers do you like? Forever on the hunt old me!

Our Trip to Magaluff Spain!

If you didn’t know Saturday’s on this little corner of the internet is where I share with you my lifestyle posts, I only share ones where I actually do something more exciting than stuffing my hamster sized chubby face and watching Netflix. Which, I think Netflix in bed is great to be honest.

For Zack’s birthday I booked us a little holiday to Magaluff in Spain for his 18th present! We went for three nights and oh my god guys, the hotel room was so so nice, I’m actually so upset that I didn’t take photos of it. Also I’m sad I didn’t take more photos of the holiday but at least its all safe and sound in my head!

The Magaluff beach was gorgeous, all the sand, kebabs and ice cream that you can want. The nightlife in Magaluff was so good even for this time of year and its safe to say we were quite drunk for most of it, which would explain the lack of photos I took…

The majority of the pictures are mug shots of poor Zackary…
On the Wednesday we went and played crazy golf in this really cool upside down house, right on the outskirts of Magaluff. It was honestly so funny and sweet, we ended up getting so competitive, we made bets and Zack even cheated a tone as I turned around catching him picking up the golf ball and putting it in the hole… We went back on the Thursday for a rematch…

I think its quite fair to say we’d had a bit too much to drink and ended up laying on the sun-beds, in the dark. The story behind this picture is actually quite funny, I’d had a few drinks, was very confident and overly happy and decided to get a tattoo. Yes, I know stupid. BUT, we had a half an hour wait before my tattoo so we went and sat on these sun-beds and it suddenly hit me that it was a stupid idea and well, I got a refund and thankfully and luckily I’m still tatttooless!

This photo is a little personal joke but I think it’s quite nice to share these little funny stories with you guys! When Zackary was quite drunk he walked over the road to this kebab shop to buy some chips. And well, he got so robbed off! For 2.50 Euros they gave him 6 chips, I took the mick out of him for ages for it because bless him he was so upset! (It was funny, a kind of ‘you had to be there’ thing)
The Magaluff strip!

Of course I chilled by the pool with Cosmopolitan!

Before dinner, the only half decent picture as all the rest are of us being silly
and because we do search for anything that will be laugh we hired this ‘couples bike’ for an hour and well, it was a laugh alright! I had to get out of the bike to take a picture of it but the whole time Zack kept crying about how tired he was, boys…

If you want to see more lifestyle posts from me let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to post some more on Saturdays!
