15 Deep questions to get to know your crushes character better

The curiosity to get to know the person you're smitten by is an incredible thrill. Still, you can't just outright dig for information from your crush. It is all about establishing a connection, as the last thing you want is for it to turn into an interview.

Here at VavaViolet Magazine, we have come up with the juiciest conversation starters to ask next time you want to get to know their true character.

Perhaps their answers will have you lusting over them more or will help you realise sooner that they are not the person for you.

We recommend, although you can do as you please, chucking in a question here and there over time as a quirky and exciting conversation starter. That way, the fun can last, and it won't feel as if you are interrogating them.

Here are the questions:

- The best hook-up I ever had… was with my first ever Tinder match who dominated me beyond belief

1. If money was no problem, what is the first thing you would do? - This can indicate how they enjoy spending their free time and what they value.

2. What is one rule you would break if you could? - This will test their moral compass, and you can then determine if it aligns with yours, which can help in the long run to reduce disagreements.

3. What is one place you want to visit before you die? - If you love to travel, you will be able to tell if they feel the same and work out what type of holiday they like.

4. What is something you are looking forward to? - This is a great way to establish how deeply your crush thinks. They may say something like marriage or kids, but they may say their takeaway on Friday. Basically, it is a great way to gauge their seriousness.

5. What is the worst date you've ever been on? - A great way to suss out any potential red flags and help you know what to avoid for the pair of you.

6. Who is your celebrity crush? - This is an excellent way to assess their taste in both looks and characteristics they are looking for in a person. It also means you can see if you fit the bill.

7. What is your biggest turn-off? - A cheeky and subtle way to assess the sexual chemistry and if you are in agreement on this kind of topic. It could get complicated in the long run if you're not.

8. Do you prefer staying in or going out? - A great way to assess social compatibility. If they are someone that loves to be out five nights a week while you prefer to binge-watch a series at home, it could be trouble in paradise looming.

9. What is your biggest fear? - Even though they could answer anything in the world, it will give you something to bond over even if you are afraid of different things.

10. Who are you closest to in your family? - This can help you assess their family values and is a great gateway question to ask lots about their family and memories they have with them.

11. What is your love language? - An important one as it's wise to love someone in their love language, not yours. It is a great way to learn how your potential partner can be comforted, supported, and appreciated.

12. What is your favourite thing to do to relax? - Everyone has their own way that they like to spend their downtime to recharge. Asking so is also a superb way to tell if your crush is an introvert or extrovert.

13. Are you a dog or cat person? - Although this may not appear to be a deal-breaker or very deep, it can be to some. It will also help to open childhood conversations speaking about old family pets.

14. What is your most embarrassing moment? - This question helps to see if they take themselves too seriously and how much of a laugh they are likely up for.

15. Why are you single? - This may seem like a profound question to get into and shouldn't be asked with judgement. Still, it can be a gateway to open up about past relationships and mistakes. It can also help you assess what they think of themselves and whether they take responsibility.
